Through the process of contact printing, hand processing, and low-fi optical printing, Gossamer Walls remembers, mis-remembers, and reinterprets a previous generation’s super 8 home movies.
This film is from a collaborative series by artist Peter Miller. Miller exposed different titles and optical soundtracks onto 100’ reels of reversal 16mm film stock and then handed off the reels to fellow filmmakers with the instructions to make an in-camera edited film. These filmmakers had no knowledge of the title or contends of the soundtrack.
